Shama Ministries The Covenant of Righteousness

Print Friendly, PDF & Email

Shama Ministries welcomes you to our internet ministry site. What you will find here is everything about the covenant of righteousness.

It covers the following subjects:

  • The theology behind the covenant of righteousness,
  • and the reformation that it will bring in your life.

But what does righteousness mean?

Dictionaries define righteousness as “behavior that is morally justifiable or right.” Such behavior is characterized by accepted standards of morality, justice, virtue, or uprightness. The Bible’s standard of human righteousness is God’s own perfection in every attribute, every attitude, every behavior, and every word. Thus, God’s laws, as given in the Bible, both describe His own character and constitute the plumb line by which He measures human righteousness.

The Greek New Testament word for “righteousness” primarily describes conduct in relation to others, especially with regards to the rights of others in business, in legal matters, and beginning with relationship to God. It is contrasted with wickedness, the conduct of the one who, out of gross self-centeredness, neither reveres God nor respects man. The Bible describes the righteous person as just or right, holding to God and trusting in Him.

The bad news is that true and perfect righteousness is not possible for man to attain on his own; the standard is simply too high. The good news is that true righteousness is possible for mankind, but only through the cleansing of sin by Jesus Christ and the indwelling of the Holy Spirit. We have no ability to achieve righteousness in and of ourselves. But Christians possess the righteousness of Christ, because “God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God”. This is an amazing truth. On the cross, Jesus exchanged our sin for His perfect righteousness so that we can one day stand before God and He will see not our sin, but the holy righteousness of the Lord Jesus.

“Master, which is the great commandment in the law? Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.”(Mat 22:36-40)

“Now these things were our examples, to the intent we should not lust after evil things, as they also lusted. Neither be ye idolaters, as were some of them; as it is written, The people sat down to eat and drink, and rose up to play. Neither let us commit fornication, as some of them committed, and fell in one day three and twenty thousand. Neither let us tempt Christ, as some of them also tempted, and were destroyed of serpents. Neither murmur ye, as some of them also murmured, and were destroyed of the destroyer. Now all these things happened unto them for ensamples: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come. (1Cor 10:6-11)

My prayer everyday are words that David asked the LORD in probably the most beautiful Psalm in the Bible, as it contains the complete message in one Psalm: “Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me. Cast me not away from thy presence; and take not thy holy spirit from me. Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation; and uphold me with thy free spirit. Then will I teach transgressors thy ways; and sinners shall be converted unto thee.” (Psa 51:10-13)

The website uses as a central theme the Covenant of Righteousness, and what it means to us as Christians. My aim is not to ask you to leave your Church or grouping and to join another Church or grouping, but for you to be able to understand the true message of the Covenant and to ensure that you will end up in the New Jerusalem after your death, or when Jesus comes to take His bride with Him to the New Jerusalem on His second and final appearance.

The other subject that you will find that I spend a lot of time on is the Antichrist teaching of the rapture. We have to remember that Israel stopped following the LORD in Canaan from the moment they started taking possession of their inheritance. Some did not like their inheritance in Canaan and chose to have their inheritance on the wrong side of the Jordan river, and we never hear of them again in the Bible. Then we find that Eli and his sons die on the same day because they wanted to do things their way and not the LORD’s way. And then they also lost the fight against the Philistines who took the Arc of the Covenant with them. The Jeremia tells them what will happen to the tribe of Judah once Jesus is born in Jeremia 7. ““But go now to My place which was in Shiloh, where I made My name dwell at the first, and see what I did to it because of the wickedness of My people Israel. “And now, because you have done all these things,” declares the LORD, “and I spoke to you, rising up early and speaking, but you did not hear, and I called you but you did not answer, therefore, I will do to the house which is called by My name, in which you trust, and to the place which I gave you and your fathers, as I did to Shiloh. “I will cast you out of My sight, as I have cast out all your brothers, all the offspring of Ephraim. “As for you, do not pray for this people, and do not lift up cry or prayer for them, and do not intercede with Me; for I do not hear you. “Do you not see what they are doing in the cities of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem? “The children gather wood, and the fathers kindle the fire, and the women knead dough to make cakes for the queen of heaven; and they pour out drink offerings to other gods in order to spite Me. “Do they spite Me?” declares the LORD. “Is it not themselves they spite, to their own shame?” Therefore thus says the Lord GOD, “Behold, My anger and My wrath will be poured out on this place, on man and on beast and on the trees of the field and on the fruit of the ground; and it will burn and not be quenched.”” (Jer 7:12-20)

And remember that this same nation killed Isaiah in the temple.
